So, my sister Jackie and I were holding a Yahoo vs. Google contest (surprisingly Yahoo! was winning…), and we got that phenom idea! We did a Google Verb 2.0. SO THERE! Uh. Sad excuse for a post, I know. Sigh… I shall come back to rave about Ponyo at some point.

Bahahahaha! Oh, god, what a great moment. So, I’ve got this virus that keeps popping balloons up in my startbar at the bottom of the screen. It says ‘Your Computer Is Infected!” At the top, but I glanced at it out of the corner of my eye and thought it said “Your Computer Is Fucked!” Oh god. I lol’d so hard. My computer IS fucked, though. I mean, Christ, I get so many viruses. :s M’bad.

So. Erm. ENK. Iunno. New favorite onomaetopea. YUS.

We’re doing the mario theme as part of our marching band show this year, and I’ve played it so much I find myself humming it absentmindedly. Buh dah dah duh dah DAH. DUH. Bah dum duh dah DAH duh duh doo dah dah dah doo dah dah… Okay. I’m done.

So, what’s really difficult about my new creative writing class is the prompts. Take for example, today. I was in my class, and we were given special individual prompts, and mine went like this, “After a long day of bouncing, he/she realized that he/she had grown a tower in their spleen.” What am I supposed to do with that? I’ll tell you what. Create sheer AWESOME.

It took me about 10 minutes to come up with something good, but Mr. Sheh and the class loved it, and I even incorporated a little Nerdfighting in there. It was really fun, and I hope that bodes well for the rest of the year.

At marching band practice last night, I had a hard time standing because I just had my foot frozen again the day before. When our instructor finally asked me why I kept sitting, the girl next to me made me show her my foot because she didn’t believe me. Aha. XD Oops.

Uh. What else? Not much, really. I don’t have a lot to say, except that school is already tiring, but what the hey? That’s school. :/ See you around!

Officially the worst day of summer so far

Well, at least it waited to lurk until the END of summer and then spring on me. Yes, of course, the much dreaded ‘worst day of summer’ has pounced upon me and pinned me to the floor. Joy.

I woke up this morning and drove my little sister and my mom to school so they could register her for… something… I wasn’t paying particular attention to what, and my mom yelled at me and criticized me the ENTIRE WAY. Now, usually she’s pretty chill about me driving, I dunno what’s gotten into her today. So after that I went back to sleep for about… 5 hours, and when I woke up I got to be dragged down to the pediatrist’s office again for DUN DUH DUH DAAAAAAAAAAAAA:

Another lovely foot-freezing!

…That’s my third one in two months. F my life. It’s also my second in the past week. Meaning my foot was especially tender, so this one REALLY hurt. Like, hurt so bad I almost cried. Now, I usually don’t cry when I get hurt (genetic problems have gifted me with a considerably high pain tolerance from an early age), so can you see how bad this was if I almost DID cry? Eesh. It still hurts, and now my foot is cramping up. Not even Benedryl or Advil do anything. ):

If it wasn’t bad enough having to limp around all day, my sister also came home from camp with a wonderful surprise for us all! Guess what it was? Can’t guess?

LICE. She gave me fucking LICE. I have never had lice in my entire life (this particular sister has had it three times) and suddenly I get fucking LICE. Give me a BREAK HERE!! She got it from a counselor who got it from a camper and then she gave it to ME. Granted, they only found two in my hair where they found six in hers, but still! Really! FML, people, FML.

Oh, but I did get a new car today! Hell yeah! A pretty silver 2008 Rav4!! We haven’t decided what to name it yet…

Back from camp!!!

So. I’m back from camp, and I have SO much to share! It was an awesome summer, the best I’ve ever had at camp, and I met and re-met a lot of friends. I’m so close with my group of friends now, it’s ridiculous!

1. I’m tan!! …kind of.

Okay, so not really, but I got super-burned during one of the day activities, and it’s turning INTO a wicked tan. Of course, it will only look awesome once the skin of my back stopped flaking off. (Collective “ewwwww!!!”s abound) I’ve also, unfortunately, got a nice bra strap tan, as well as some letter burns. There’s an “O” burned into my left arm, and an “O” burned into my right arm as well…. stupid paint. :/

2. So many new friends!!

I’ve made so many new friends, and reconnected with the old. I’ve also got some nifty connections to nifty places now, including NFTY. I’ve got Israeli friends (and my very own IDF-ID), I’ve got new Cali friends, and I’ve got some friends who are going to help me get into AmeriCorp when I turn 18!! Which makes me happy, because I plan on deferring my first year of college.

3. Mitzvah 2009 are you out there?

Mitzvah 2009 *CLAP* best year ever? I think so. Not only are there some ferociously silly stories that stem from our Mitzvah hike, but from the overnight as well, some of which I have been sworn to secrecy about. About all I can share with you are that there was some sleep-deprivation induced delirium, which turned into wildebeest sightings and yoga and deer hunts, as well as some popcorn/banana contests with strange results. And ice cream making. And a creepy lake that I nearly drowned in. :/ AND some stargazing that turned into some weird stuff. Lol. IS THAT A SATELLITE?? NAY- A SHOOTING STAR!!

4. I think the one thing that was different this year was that I actually missed somebody from home. Usually, I don’t get homesick, but rather forget all about home. Except for my oldest sister. This year, I actually missed somebody- namely, the Boyfriendthing. Hey Boyfriendthing! You should feel happy/special/awesome!!

5. I’ve discovered a nifty talent that I hadn’t before. I can make awesome little flower accessories on clips, barrettes, and earrings now. And I’ll be selling them on Etsy! All proceeds go to Darfur refugees in Chad. I’ll post the link when we get everything set up.

6. I kind of adopted a kid brother at camp, his name’s Miles. He has to be THE most flamboyant straight guy EVER. God, I love that kid. XD

So. Last post before I fly off to Malibu for a month. And you know what? My floor is now polka-dotted violet, curtesy of my pediatrist. But before I tell you how my pediatrist managed to polka-dot my carpet, I must indeed tell you that I will thoroughly miss writing for you guys very much, and I will keep a detailed journal while at camp (at least when I remember).

Okay! Well. Today I went in to the doctor to get my foot checked out again before I left for camp. Do you know what he said? “We’ll still have to freeze it a couple more times- maybe every two weeks- for a while. But you’re doing good!” I have just two words for you. Kill me. Well, you must be wondering, how did this turn into painted carpets? Well, after he gave me THAT piece of wonderful news, he proceeded to tell me that he’d have to dye my heel violet to dry it out… or something. So now I’ve got giant blobs of purple on my heel. And it leaks everywhere, so I had to swath it in giant bandages. :/ I still managed to track it on the carpet, however.

Okay! On to the next topic. I love my mother. Tonight at dinner, she was yelling at me for not sitting straight, and I argued back that there was a table pole where my legs would be. She answered with, “I don’t care if there’s a pole between your legs!!” It was kind of a “…” moment, you know? And then my oldest sister burst into loud laughter. And then my younger sisters were just like, “Whut?” It was… entertaining.

SEGUE. Um… topictopictopic…OH YES. FEAR ME, FOR I AM SHUKKA, DESTROYER OF LAPTOP BATTERY CORDS. Yes, I did it again, I’m afraid. I killed a battery cord. It’s all… bent… :/ It makes me saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

I got a Twitter! It’s Cupidites, go find me! I just started, and I won’t be Tweeting for a month, but you should find me anyways. I’m getting so hip to the internet fads. I got a skype too, but I’m not letting you see that because I worked hard to make myself anonymous! Oh, yesterday, I accidentally said, “Cool story, bro!” Everyone kinda gave me a blank stare. Lol. XD

QUESTION OF THE DAY! What do they put in erasable pens that make them… erasable? This question will haunt me. D|

This isn’t working…

So. Finally, a few weeks ago, my psychiatrist decided to switch the antidepressants I’m on from Welbutrin to Cymbalta. The reason she gave was my chronic sleeping issues, which usually involve me being up into the wee hours of the morning, and then viciously crashing until 5:45 am, and not getting enough sleep. So… Cymbalta is supposed to help with my sleeping patterns (or lack thereof), but, yet, I find myself awake at 12:40 am with nothing better to do than roast alive in this oven of a house (our thermostat is broken…) and type about things that happened to me on a blog no one reads… hm…

…Why do I get the feeling that this new medication isn’t working?

So, yes. Our thermostat is broken. In the middle of summer. And it’s not a wimpy summer of, like, 80 degrees, but like, 105 degrees. On cool days. You can imagine how torturous this is.

Anyways, today [sister #1], my father, and I went carshopping. See, [sister #1] and I are at that age where we need a car to get around with, and so we went to go look. Ugh. It was hot. But we did get to oggle some new Honda and Dodge models for the Element and the Journey (dealers go to cars respectively). Honestly, I’m a huge fan of the Honda Element. It’s perfect for us short people, and the body was so cute. Totally unique, which is my style… if unique could be considered a style (which it isn’t). After that we went for icees on account of our melting from walking around in the heat.

Speaking of fathers, Father’s Day is coming up, and I saw a cute little video on youtube that I thought he would like (link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwNW_vk1pWk). So I emailed him the link, and you know what he said to me? Nothing but, “…They spelled ‘radiation’ wrong…” Thank you, Daddy, for being so gracious! :\

The Boyfriendthing came over to my house last night to watch movies (and so I could see him before I left for camp). It was really nice. We watched some Miyazaki amazingness, because apparently we are both huge fans of his (this I did not know before we started going out). The evening was cut short when his dad picked him up a little early though… (if you call 10 pm early…) and I didn’t kiss him. Not once. Of course, he thinks it’s because I’m a meanie, which is true, but it’s actually because of an unfortunate incident with a fork, resulting in a huge amount of cuts on my lip. These cuts make it painful to eat, let alone kiss. Sorry, Boyfriendthing! I didn’t really want to talk about it then, you know? But I don’t want you to be mad at me, or anything.

Finally finished my pixel art stage of my devID. It… it actually looks good. I was surprised. o.O

What more can I say? It fills my inner-star-trek-reboot-fangirl needs IN EVERY WAY. Especially the yaoi. Now, normally, I HATE yaoi, because… well… you know… it’s yaoi. But every now and again, I find something so amazing, I just don’t care. And now I have. Bones+Spock+Kirk+Chibi+yaoi=DEARGODTHECUUUUUUUUUUTE.

So, obviously you can see how this just might make my brain explode.

Also! I’ve begun work on my devID, and so far, the pixel art is being FUCKIN’ ANNOYING. I can’t get it to cooperate with my SAI. Which I had to reinstall after another virus problem. :\ Anyhow, that’s coming along almost nicely, and now all I have to do is finish the PowerShot and put in the stats. And download the Gamearcade, but that’s another story. Since, you know, Sai doesn’t have fonts ‘n stuff… =_=”

I’ve just about finished the PowerShot, but I have to scan it into my computer and fix up the colorbleeds, because Prisma color markers are all bleedy ‘n stuff.

For some reason, I can’t English today. FFFUUUUUUU- (memealertmemealert)

ANYWHO. I’m happy. No, scratch that, I’m beyond happy! I’m floating on a cloud of happiness so much higher than cloud 9 that it doesn’t have a number! Do you know why? Well, DO YOU?

It is because, dear reader, I have finally been compared to my sister AND BECAME THE WINNER. For once in my life, I’m better than my sister at something! Ironically, it’s something I thought I was no good at. Of course, much to my sister’s chagrin, I rub this in her face as much as possible. The comparison? Our driving skills. Apparently, I am quite the talented driver. Better than my second oldest sister, and better than my oldest sister (well, at least when she started!)! My mother’s words verbatim, “You’re so much better than [sister#2]! And you’re also better than [sister #1] when she first started. She didn’t take to it with such finesse!” DID YOU READ THAT? I’VE GOT FINESSE, BITCHES. FINESSE. Which makes me unbelievably happy. Like I stated earlier.

Anyhow, Summer is upon us, and I am whisked off to camp on the 24th! So starting then, and through July 19th, there will be NO UPDATES. Sorry!

Lost in Ikea?

I went to Ikea today for my much-belated birthday present of two years ago, courtesy of my parents. They promised me new furniture, and now I’m getting it! Finally! My room’s gonna look super bomb. I also got some wall-decorating stuff. Yay? Anyhow, when we got there, I decided to run off and look at cool stuff, as I’m wont to do. Unfortunately, I forgot how large Ikea is, and it ended up very much resembling Alice in Wonderland minus the talking rabbits and disappearing cats. Eesh.

In other news: my foot has stopped hurting, I’ve got awesome new shoes, and I drove on an open street without killing anyone! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! I’m getting better. I’ve got my permit, a car, and endless time! So, hopefully, I’ll be a capable driver come November. Hopefully I’ll be allowed to drive the convertible as well. >D

I find myself lethargic lately, when it comes to drawing, writing, or updating my blog. I don’t even want to play Mabi. XP

I’ve developed an addiction to Prisma markers. I have $120, and the first thing that comes to mind when I look at it is ‘Prisma markerssssss!!!’. Oh dear lord, I’ve got a problem.
